e-Crime Wales Summit 2009

The 2009 e-Crime Wales Summit will take place at Venue Cymru, Llandudno on Wednesday 21st October. e-Crime continues to cost the UK economy billions of pounds each year through many different threats; information theft, sabotage, theft of financial information and disruption to business.

Returning to North Wales this year’s Summit will see keynote speakers from industry experts talk about the latest e-Crime threats and the steps that Welsh businesses can take to protect themselves.

Dan Haagman, Chief Operating Officer for leading Information Security & Computer Forensics company 7Safe will be informing businesses about The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) - a set of industry sanctioned requirements for improving payment data security that are now mandatory for UK businesses.

Other speakers will be announced over the coming weeks and a full agenda published.

The exhibition area at the 2009 Summit will be much larger than in previous years and to date over 30 exhibitors from a wide range of sectors including the IT security industry, legal services and Internet Service Providers have confirmed their attendance at the event. There are still some opportunities to exhibit at the Summit, please email us at info@ecrimewales.com to find out more information.
